Why you should avoid ‘Free’ lights

Some companies offer ‘Free’ LED lights by installing the cheapest lights on the market and using the government incentives to cover the cost.

Lighting is the most used accessory in your home and it has the power to “delight” or “fright”. Free LEDs produce poor light, they can’t dim and they fail quickly because they are installed without replacing your old halogen transformers. This commonly results in flickering as the old halogen transformer is configured to regulate the amount of energy it takes to power a standard halogen, not an LED.

*Terms and conditions: Savings challenge applies to the replacement of 50w and 35w Halogen downlights with 10w or 5w LED downlights. Lighting cost savings are calculated by the energy savings associated with replacing a Halogen downlight to a LED downlight only. The offer to does extent to the replacement of CFL globes or any other type of globe that is not a halogen downlight. LEDified has the discretion to choose the appropriate LED replacement for existing halogen downlights. Offer valid only for customers living within 70km of Perth GPO. If LEDified cannot save a customer 70% on lighting costs by replacing their halogen downlights with LEDified LEDs, it will pay $200 via EFT withing 30 days of the customer inquiry. Successful customers can claim payment by emailing info@ledified.com.au with their customer number and bank details.
