Hungry Jacks is committed to sustainability and keeping an eye on ways to future-proof their business. With over 300 locations across Australia, the stakeholders are keenly aware that to keep abreast of their competition, constant evolution and innovation is required. Hungry Jacks in Sunbury, Victoria, is an example of a store that could set the precedent for high quality lighting design, coupled with significant energy efficiencies.
The Management team at Hungry Jacks Sunbury wanted to improve bottom line performance by reducing operating expenses. LED lighting was seen as a great way to achieve this goal. However, the team were adamant that reducing energy related lighting costs should not come at the expense of the customer experience. Lighting and store décor are critical in the fast food game, so LEDified were challenged to enhance the look of the store lighting if possible.

LEDified’s commercial LED specialists conducted a thorough audit and dialux reading of the restaurants existing lighting configuration. The proposal was to replace the existing CFLs with 27 REX LEDs, and to replace the existing tubes with TITAN T8 LEDs. In conjunction with LEDified’s in-house lighting designers, a comprehensive plan was formulated in order to optimise the aesthetics of the premises.
